Drivers with traffic violations should contact the court with jurisdiction and request to take a driving safety course before the court date on the ticket.

Court Information

A driver maybe eligible to take a driving safety course for a traffic violation if:

1. The Driver has avalid Texas Drivers License or Permit

2. The Driver has proof of liability insurance

3. The drive has not taken a driving safety course for another ticket received in the past 12 months for the purpose of getting a traffic violation dismissed

4. The Driver may not have a Commercial Drivers License

5. The violation can not have ocurred in a construction zone.

6. The speeding violation can not be for exceeding the limit by more than 25 miles per hour.

A Driver normally has 90 days to take the driving safety course once he/she has properly registered with the traffic court
